This took place just a few miles from the IZ. In fact, we store all our secure documents in the Kadimeya neighborhood. Those working in that office said the scene near the bridge was almost too heartbreaking to imagine.
Worst single-day loss of life in Iraq to date, but the news story can't compete w/ Katrina.
thanks for the comment. i'd write more but i'm in an apple store in chicago that's closing right now. new orleans/gulf coast deserved an inordinate amount of attention, but it was ridiculous to see this story diminished the way it was
